Daily Ramble 23: Finding Orgrimmar

ARGH!

Sometimes I really hate coming back to a game. Battle for Azeroth is one of those times. And it’s mainly because I feel like I know next to nothing about the game anymore.

I left Legion around level 102 with my main character. While I understand that the last expansion was a pretty good one, I never got into it and so never really played much. I would check in from time to time but only leveled a couple times.

So when I fired up WoW after the new expansion came out I was completely lost. I was somewhere in the middle of a dark forest with no idea how to get anywhere.

Oh well, I had 3 different hearthstones so one of them had to go somewhere familiar…nope. I had no idea where any of them went though I vaguely remember Dalaran from some point in the past, so I tried there.

Hmmm…sure looks like I’ve been here before but my real goal is to get somewhere that I can purchase some Heirloom gear for my new hunter so I need to get to Orgrimmar or Undercity so I head to Google to find a guide to transportation.

It seems Dalaran was moved at some point in the recent past and is now in the Broken
Isles but that doesn’t mean much to me. The main problem I had is I couldn’t find the Sunreaver Sanctuary where the portals are all supposed to be in the city.

If there are no portals, hoedo I get anywhere?

Well, after pulling my hair out, running all around the city, and logging out for the night, I finally found them this morning. They are in Windrunner’s Sanctuary…ARGH!

Hiding around the corner from where I was running back and forth on Sunday, there were all the portals. I could have easily found them if I was just methodical but was in a hurry and had to get to the fast.

The moral of the story I suppose is that haste makes waste – slow down and things will come to you much faster.

Now I need to take my time and find the heirloom vendor.
