#2018MMM – When the Kat’s Away Round One Results
Daily Ramble 183: When the Kat’s Away Round One Results
While these guys might not be mammals they certainly know how to fight. In what may have been the most highly anticipated round of the tournament this year, the “When the Kat’s Away” competitors went head to head and blood flew all over the place. This was some of the roughest combat we’ve seen in the tournament so far and if it’s any indication, these critters will either burn out quickly or prove a viable contender against the best mammals in the bracket.
- In what could be the greatest upset in the history of March Mammal Madness, the 4th seeded Alligator Snapping Turtle had his beak cracked by the #13 Mantis Shrimp and fails to advance.
- The Eurasian Eagle Owl has the Beaded Lizard for dinner.
- Not being a fan of spiders, I didn’t really like this battle nor the outcome in which the Bothrops Asper falls to the Goliath Tarantula. This just means I’ll have another around of squimishness to deal with.
- While the Mantis stole the wildcard round from the Goldcrest, the Orinoco Crocodile wasn’t about to let this pretender (the Praying Mantis) survive the first round
- In the battle of the oceans, the Cookie Cutter Shark succumbs to the suckers of the Common Octopus.
- The bird who may be my current favorite in this division, the Secretary Bird kicks apart the Horseshoe Crab.
- In what may have been the most highly watched contest in March Mammal Madness history, the Green Anaconda washes away the water bear, Tardigrade, but he may not be done with the tournament.
- Finally, the dreaded Komodo Dragon swallows the Salamander whole.
