Deciding on a Class for SWTOR: Jedi Guardian?

This is the last class that I tried the last time I played – ok, it was more the last few times I played SWTOR but I still only got her to level 16.

The Jedi Guardian is a subclass of the Jedi Knight and we all know how cool Jedi Knights are. I have no problem playing as Obi-Wan or Luke, but they do tend towards being tanks and I am pretty sure they are melee characters. I usually tend to prefer ranged abilities over the ‘In Your Face’ hack and slash, but these guys are badass with the lightsaber so…

Maybe.

  1. Last time I played I did a Sith Juggernaut, which is identical to a Jedi Guardian in gameplay, and TBH, I think it was my favorite. I used a dps spec, but it was still plenty tanky and the damage output seemed higher than several other dps-oriented classes.

    That said, this was almost 2 years ago, so who knows what balancing passes have been made since then.
