DC Universe New Weekly Releases October 8, 2019

DC Comics started to release new comics to their DC Universe platform about a year after they enter circulation as floppies. With that in mind, I decided to list off those released each week as I do for Marvel Unlimited. The DC releases come out on Monday just like the Marvel comics but since they are pushed to their site in the evening I figured I’d publish their list on Tuesday…

Here’s the new stuff I’ve found this week that was released October 3rd, 2018:

Top Comics This Week

12 new comics released today compared to 15 last week.  Looking at Comic Book Roundup which aggregates a bunch of review sites, here are the top issues from this batch of comics. Only one issue reached the level of my criteria this week (rating 8.5 or over with more than 3 reviews).

  • Sadly there were no issues that met my requirements this week.

Number Ones

There are ZERO NUMBER ONEs this week so we’ll have to look elsewhere for places to start out..

Jumping on Points

With no number 1s this week and here’s where we can jump into a series.

  • Nightwing #50
by Ben Percy, Chris Mooneyham, and Travis Moore.
A young Dick Grayson and an old Dick Grayson tied together by the Scarecrow as the Knight Terror storyline kicks off with this issue.
  • The Curse of Brimstone #7
by Justin Jordan and Eduardo Pansica.
Ashes starts here with Jow and Annie headed to a strange town bein terrorized by Bel Dame.
  • Deathstroke #36
by Christopher Priest, Ed Benes, and Fernando Pasarin.
Deathstroke: Arkham begins as Slade is declared criminally insane and sent to the asylum.
  • Wonder Woman: Witching Hour #1
by James Tynion IV and Jesus Merino.
A five-part event brings out the magical side of Wonder Woman and with it, The Witching Hour rewrites the future of magic in the DC Universe.

Concluding Issues

Some stories have been told and transform into something new. There were no series that completed a story arc this week.
