DC Universe New Weekly Releases September 17, 2019
DC Comics started to release new comics to their DC Universe platform about a year after they enter circulation as floppies. With that in mind, I decided to list off those released each week as I do for Marvel Unlimited. The DC releases come out on Monday just like the Marvel comics but since they are pushed to their site in the evening I figured I’d publish their list on Tuesday…
Here’s the new stuff I’ve found this week that was released September 12th, 2018:

Top Comics This Week
14 new comics released today compared to 10 last week. Looking at Comic Book Roundup which aggregates a bunch of review sites, here are the top issues from this batch of comics. Only one issue reached the level of my criteria this week (rating 8.5 or over with more than 3 reviews). DC has to step things up.
- Hawkman #4
by Robert Venditti and Bryan Hitch.
Carter Hall, the current Hawkman meets a previous incarnation as he’s been teleported to Thanagar.
Jumping on Points
DC seems to be set with number ones these days but there are plenty of places to jump into a series and these titles are a bit more fleshed out than the #1s.
- Detective Comics #988
by James Robinson and Stephen Segovia.
A standard murder mystery draws the attention of Batman as a guest writer kicks off a new story arc. - Red Hood and the Outlaws #26
by Scott Lobdell and Pete Woods.
The Requiem For An Archer arc begins as Jason Todd dons a new costume and heads out to take on the evildoers in the DC universe.
Concluding Issues
Some story’s have been told and transform into something new. There was 1 series that completed a story arc this week.
- The Immortal Men #6
by James Tynion IV and Tyler Kirkham.
The conclusion to The End of Forever story arc and from what I can see, the end of the series, as the Immortal Men take on the Infinite Woman and her Bloodless soldiers.
