Ramble for July 26, 2022

Shark Week!!!

Every year I look forward to this week! It’s usually during or right after Comic-Con, so it turns out to be a pretty busy time, but it’s another one of those wonderful Summer events that I enjoy every year.

This year, there’s quite a bit of excitement to be had as the Impractical Jokers put on a performance and Tracy Morgan has a show. Also, the whole thing is hosted by The Rock – Dwayne Johnson. Here’s the calendar of events, and while some things are already in the past, I am pretty sure you can catch them on Discovery+ if you have that.

The shows I’m focusing on are the Impractical Jokers and The Pig vs. Shark show at 10 pm on Tuesday. The Shark Dome show looks kinda cool on Wednesday, but I gotta at least record the Walking Shark show from 8 pm on Wednesday. Finally, the Tracy Morgan show on Thursday looks cool.

In the past, there have been Sharknado premieres during the week, but I guess Jaws vs. the Blob might cover that, though I’m not really sure what that is all about.

In any case, I am (as always) excited for Shark Week, and I love the mix of science, ocean, predators, and conservation that surrounds this week. Let’s hope the sharks keep growing in numbers and people learn more about them, so there are fewer negative experiences when people meet sharks.
