Unbelievable Losses
I’m getting this out a bit later today since I am kinda in a state of denial. I mean, I can understand my Angels losing because they’ve got some injuries, and after all, it’s a 162 game season, so they’re gonna lose some games, but The Witcher had one chance.
The Rundown
Ok, so for my rundown today, I’ll just say that the Angels came into today having a bad week. They were swept out of Texas previously, and while they had something of a better time against Oakland, they still did not look very good.
So then the Blue Jays come into town.
The Goods
The Blue Jays were pretty much a consensus pick to make the playoffs this season, but they’ve gotten off to a poor start (similar to The Witcher). They came into Anaheim 23 and 20 but were struggling to score more runs than they gave up.
The Angels were 27–18, and while they were having a difficult time lately, they were still solidly in 2nd place in the AL West.
I suppose the good news for the Angels is that they are still 3.5 games up on their next competitor in the West, and they are still in the Wild Card race.
Basically, Toronto came in and made a very strong statement that they are going to work to get into the playoffs this year. My Angles kinda rolled over and looked like they were not interested this time around.
Sure, they really tried to push things during the last game, but they could not hold a lead to save themselves. So, like the Witcher, they choked.
It’s a Wrap
I kinda skipped over The Witcher since I covered their disastrous match in my Rambling Redshirt’s Gaming Madness post yesterday, but they looked like they really did not want to be participating in the tournament.
In any case, I’m looking forward to making the rest of today a good one, and I hope you all have a great day.
