Dark Souls 2 – not Elden Ring is the Top Seed

Thursdays are always kinda weird. They’re not highlighted as mid-week, nor are they celebrated as the gateway to the weekend…they’re just kinda bah. Today for me, sees a continuation of my March Gaming Madness selection process. I also picked up the latest Cowboy Bebop comic yesterday and am interested to see how it matches up with the live-action show I recently finished. Of course, as I look at my blogosphere again, Elden Ring shows up again, and it’s nice to see that others are playing that game that share some of my opinions.

The Goods

• Six Degrees of the Blogosphere
  I am not the only gamer to be annoyed by all the ‘tip messages’ in Elden Ring. UltrViolet over at Endgame Viable doesn’t seem to like them either in his post…Elden Ring – The Journey, Part 1. I wonder if these helpful messages just keep adding up because with all the people playing this game, there’s gonna be graffiti all over the place.
• Current Dark Division
  I decided to name the divisions for my March Gaming Madness tournament based on the top seed in each bracket, and the first division is topped by Dark Souls 2. I gave it the Dark moniker, and it currently consists of Dark Souls 2, WURM Online, City of Heroes, and Subnautica. Of these 4, I’ve played the most WURM Online and actually created several deeds across multiple islands in the game. If this wind the tournament, perhaps I’ll finally build the castle I’ve always wanted.
• March Gaming Madness – Picking Seeds 5 and 6
  I’ve picked the top 4 seeds for each of the divisions so far and am marching forward with the 5th and 6th seeds today. We still don’t have any head-to-head matchups, but we’re getting close. So far, 16 games have made my tournament, but there are plenty more spots.
• Gearing up to read the Cowboy Bebop Comic
  I finished off watching the Cowboy Bebop live-action show and loved it! Hopefully, the comic that I picked up yesterday – Cowboy Bebop #2 – will do it justice – the first installment was pretty good and had the full cast of characters…even Ein!

It’s a Wrap

Elden Ring continues to be the talk of the town in my Blogosphere while I continue to march forward with my tournament picks today. Hopefully, I’ll also have time to read through the Cowboy Bebop issue and make a dent in my reading for my comic book club that’s coming up fast.
