Filling in Seeds 3 and 4
Yesterday I called upon the RNG gods to pick out the top two seeds for my March Gaming Madness tournament, and I ended up with some interesting selections. I started with over 80 games to pick from, and 8 rose to the top to their place as the number one and two seeds. I also named the divisions based on the games that were identified yesterday. So today, I fill out the brackets further by highlighting the third and fourth seeds of each division.
Here’s where things stand before the RNG gods take control today…
The Dark Division
1) Dark Souls 2
2) WURM
The Winter Division
1) Neverwinter
2) Octopath Traveler
The Shadows Division
1) Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
2) Final Fantasy I
The Under Division
1) Undertale
2) Valheim
And here are the 8 teams added to the tournament today…
City of Heroes
Subnautica
WoW
No Man’s Sky
Torchlight
Elden Ring
Genshin Impact
Skyrim
Once again, randomness has created diversity in game style, in my familiarity with the games, and in game age. We’ve got Elden Ring which just came out in the past couple of weeks, compared to City of Heroes and World of Warcraft which came out almost 18 years ago. An open-world survival action game like Subnautica and a Diablo-like Torchlight enter the tournament, and either could easily advance far in the contest.
On the whole, I think the 8 additions today are all viable competitors that I would be glad to dedicate my time towards with the goal of reaching end game – or the semblance of end game available in the game.
