A New Way

Today I thought I would try something a bit different and see how it goes. I am always trying out new things and it seems that my inconsistency tends to be the only consistency I maintain. In any case I am gonna see how this works and if I want this ‘new format’ to be my default for my daily rambling…

The Goods

Yueh…Yueh…Yueh

Today I read through chapter 20 of Dune and it was mostly focused on Yueh and his betrayal. But he could not let things stand just at betraying his Duke and the Atreides family, he had to turn around and betray the evil Harkonnen Baron as well.

Chicken Noodle Blues

Along with my reading, I also made some time to get in a game session in Secret World Legends on Chicken Noodle. She’s hanging around in Kingsmouth after dealing with the Horror Show mission and today she had her first ‘boss’ encounter finishing off Elm Street Blues. It wasn’t too difficult but was a bit more involved than other fights she’s been in so far.

Running California…Virtually

I started the day with a 3.28 mile run which will move me along pon my virtual run up California. Last time I ran in spirit to the Sand Diego Comvention Center, home of the Comic-Con and where I’ll be for the Special Edition in November. Today, with my mileage I easily make the trek down the street from The Shell, an new addition to the waterfront in San Diego Bay since the pandemic started and home to the San Diego Symphony.

Trese

I read through the first issue of a new comic I decided to pick up called Trese. It’s a supernatural/occult style comic that’s all in black & white which makes it really cool. Written by Budjette Tan and drawn by Kano Baldisimo, this was an enjoyable and entertaining read.

Piplup

I don’t know much about Piplup or why he came into my world today, but he’s a little Pokémon penguin. One of these days I’m gonna have to play one of those Pokémon games.

Vector Tracing

I don’t recall the podcast I was listening to but one of the hosts mentioned how they were getting into vector tracing and really enjoying it. I’ve never really been much of an artist and can barely draw a happy face, but on first listen, it seemed tht vector tracing might be something I could do since is seems to be drawing based on a previous image. I gotta look into that more.

Again with the AFKs in League

I am so tired of AFKs in League of Legends. I had the opportunity to play 2 games of League today and each had an AFK – one where our jungler went AFK5 minutes into the game for an unknown reason because we were already up 2-0. The other game features a top laner from the opposing team that left the game after going down 0-3 in the first 10 minutes. I wish there was something that could either prevent this behavior or punish it severely enough that people stop engaging in it, but it is so frustrating.

Ok, so there are 7 things I found interesting or that I did today that I felt would be good to ramble about. I hope this new format works but only time will tell…hope you all had an interesting and enjoyable day as well.
