Following Through
With my decision to attend to my balance of life, a bit more, during September I thought it was a good idea to start following through by rambling for a second day in a row. Sure, it’s no longer Blaugust and it’s only 2 days in a row but I feel pretty good about putting fingers to keyboard on back-to-back days.
Of Course the Angels Lose
With the way my team has been performing this year it figures that they throw up a Loss just as I start commenting on them again. It’s been a disappointing season with Trout out since May, Rendon out for the season, so many other injuries, and no pitching other than Ohtani. At least Shohei is around to make things interesting – he even stole home in the game on Tuesday. While I’d hate to see where the team would be without him, it sure is nice to see him make his case to win the AL MVP.
Something Wrong with the Beorning Prologue
I’m not sure if it’s because I’m running on a Legacy server or not, but I think I found an issue with the Beorning Prologue quests. I really didn’t realize it until I took a look at the LOTRO wiki pages but, it seems that after the beginning scenes and missions where a new Beorning character talks to Sterkist, Grimbeorn, and Radagast, they are supposed to be level boosted.
I was wondering why all the creatures I was encountering in Archet after the Prologue were so many level above where I was at level 3, but it turns out that I got screwed.
Apparently after the Prologue quests and the acceptance of venturing forth into Middle Earth, a young Beorning is supposed to be boosted to level 5.
I never got that!
Instead, I showed up in Archet at level 3 and had to grind my way through to catch up to the levels of the mobs and in my first attempt, I ended up dying right away.
And… it turns out the true reason I died during my first foray into the Deadly Landscape mode was not because of my poor play or because I didn’t understand how to tank the mobs. It was because I got screwed out of 2 levels
