2021 MMM Round 6 The Championship

The last match of the 2021 March Mammal Madness is set to go down featuring the resilient Red Kangaroo and the Fierce Harpy Eagle.

I only selected the Harpy Eagle to make it this far, expecting the Red Kangaroo to go down against the Red Wolf. The canine and Kangaroo never faced each other though as the Wolf was taken out by the Mountain Tapir in round 2.

The road to the finals has been exciting for both these competitors. The Red Kangaroo had to overcome the Southern Red-Backed Vole, the Red-Crested Tree Rat, the Red Brocket, the Red Hartebeast, and the Mountain Tapir.

The Harpy Eagle had a similarly difficult hill to climb from the Of Myths and Monsters division. She took down the Goliath Beetle, the Ghost Bat, the Devil Frog, the Sphinx Monkey, and the Saber-Toothed Anchovy.

Both competitors have had their fur ruffled or their feathers plucked but both have fought on and triumphed to reach this final championship bout.

I was certainly pulling for the Harpy Eagle since that was my only shot at redemption in the March Mammal Madness bracket.

And the winner is…

The Red Kangaroo!

Yup, another busted bracket and another year where I fail to pick the winner. Oh well…it was a fun tournament.
