Perseverance Has Landed
Well, that was exciting. I actually took my lunch hour yesterday so that I could watch the Perseverance land on Mars.
And I was impressed. Lots of tension…lots of nervous chatter…explanations of what was going on…and then applause.
While all the engineers and technicians were wearing masks, there was a lot of social interaction going on and very little social distancing.
It was really nice to see.
And then in what I considered a very quick turn around, we got our first image of the lander on Mars. Pretty cool that it included the lander’s own shadow.
Kinda like an outer space selfie.
