Deciding on a Class for SWTOR: Sith Sorcerer?

Tomalani is the character I played the most and advanced furthest in SWTOR when I was playing.

She was my Sith Sorcerer and she made it up to level 19. Sure, that’s not far into the game but I enjoyed playing her none-the-less.

This time around, I am considering this class because you get to shoot lightning and play the bad guy. While I usually like healing, I’m thinking it could be a lot of fun to sling the force around and bash people with my lightsaber.

I still need to learn if there is a dual spec that I can use and if so, I could shoot lightning AND do some healing since the Sorcerer class has a healing spec.

This one might be fun to get back into.

IIRC, the sorcerer gets the heal skills regardless of spec, but only gets to make them big/powerful if in the healing spec — in the 2 dps specs the heals are just “base amounts” and tbh, not worth the force points to cast. I’d put the barrier on myself before a fight for a while, but nothing really ever got up to me before it died, so I eventually didn’t even bother with that.

    Slinging lightning does look nice….

    • Yeah – I am tempted to do the whole Palpatine thing and bring out the lightning. That sounds like fun and I did hear there is a dual spec thing even though it requires some manual button changing and such.
