Superman Vs. Domestic Violence

These days we’re so used to Superman fighting big bad super powered villains with world destroying capabilities and egos to match. How surprised was I to find out that in Action Comics #1 back in 1938, Superman, in his first appearance, was taking on domestic violence.

I mean, sure…there are not many super powered villains going around these days in the real world but there are still, unfortunately, evil people who prey on those they supposedly love. Wouldn’t it be nice if Superman vanquished all the domestic violence in the world like he defeats Lex Luther or General Zod?

The world would certainly be a better place.
