ToastMate 2000

It may not be the most glamorous part of Wandavision nor the most interesting but I found the ToastMate 2000 to be one of the most mysterious aspects of this new Disney+/Marvel show.

For whatever reason, Wanda (aka Scarlet Witch) and Vision find themselves as happy homemakers…newlyweds even…in a black and white sitcom from the 50s. There are vibes of I Love Lucy, The Honeymooners, and The Dick Van Dyke Show among other early television shows, and I loved it.

This ToastMate 2000 was shown during one of the retro commercial segments and was the only part of the show that had any sign of color – There is a red light that flashes before the toast pops up.

This Stark Industries appliance may hold the key or part of the answer to figuring out what is really going on in this enjoyable and curious television show.
