The God Butcher, Part Thtee of Five: The Hall of The Lost
In the last couple of issues we saw that Thor took on the God Butcher and barely escaped death in the past; we witness as he fights the Butcher’s hordes in the future as the last god of Asgard; and cheer on the son of Odin as he defeats the murderer’s minions in the present as he searches for answers in Omnipotence City…this Butcher guy is determined to be a thorn in the Thunder God’s side his entire life.
And we learn in this issue that it’s not just Thor that is in conflict with the Butcher. He seems to be the only one who has survived so far though. World after world, pantheon after pantheon, Thor finds dead gods that have been slaughtered by his foe. Something has really pissed off this Butcher and set him off on a killing spree that seems to leave no god alive.
In pursuit of this killer, Thor goes back to the place where he nearly died. A cave near Lake Ladoga in Russia where Thor and the God Butcher fought and nearly killed each other. At least this time he warns other gods of what is coming should the Thunder God fall.
