College Football Game of the Year
Alabama is a great fooball team but it seems every time I watch them play, they come up short. This was the case in their game this weekend as I watched them lose to 2nd ranked LSU.
This was truly a great football game. There were interceptions, fumbles, blocked kicks, missed kicks, kick returns, onside kicks, incredible catches, tremendous runs, huge hits, and missed tackles. Since I only had time to watch one game this weekend, I’m certainly glad this was it. Actually if I only could watch one game this year in the NCAA, this would have filled the bill.
And while I mentioned that Alabama wss a great football team, they weren’t as good as LSU on Saturday. The Tigers, behind quarterback Joe Burrow made a definative statement that they are the number 1 team in the nation and threatened the Crimson Tide with the possibility they might not make it to the NCAA championship tournament this year.
While I’m really tired of the SEC being the dominant conference in college football, I have to say that this game featured two teams that desevered to be ranked at the top of the pack, and it was almost sad to see one team lose. I am glad though, that the team that eventually lost was Alabama.
We’ll just see if they can play well enough the rest of the season to make it into the tournament…if anyone can, they sure can.
