Marvel Unlimited New Weekly Releases September 30, 2019
Marvel releases comics to the Unlimited platform about 6 months after they come out in floppy format so this week we are seeing comics from March 27, 2019. In an effort to try to read some more “modern” issues, I’ve been tracking what’s currently being released and trying to catch up from recent number ones…we’ll see how that goes.
Here’s the new stuff I’ve found this week that were released in March 2019:

Top Releases of the Week
21 new comics released today (last week had 20). Anyway, looking at Comic Book Roundup which aggregates a bunch of review sites, here are the top issues from this batch of comics. This week I load up on 3 issues that look interesting.
- Daredevil #3
by Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto.
Framed for murder, Daredevil gets shot and that’s just the tip of the iceberg facing the Man without Fear. - Avengers: No Road Home #7
by Al Ewing, Jim Zub, Mark Waid, and Paco Medina.
I’m really enjoying these issues with Conan and the Hyborian Age in them. - Star Wars: Doctor Aphra #30
by Si Spurrier, Emilio Laiso, and Rachel Rosenberg.
A bomb in her throat, a chase across a foreign city, and a horrible public relations assault take on Dr. Aphra in this issue.
Number Ones
There are 2 NUMBER ONEs this week so there’s plenty of places to start out a new series.
- Marvel Rising #1
by Nolan Magruder and Roberto Di Salvo.
This looks like a lot of fun as America, Squirrel Girl, Ms. Marvel, and Captain Marvel team up. - Spider-Man: Far From Home – Prelude #1
by Will Corona Pilgrim and Luca Maresca.
A lead up to the movie with Spidey back in high school after saving the world from destruction.
Jumping on Points
While there are 2 NUMBER ONEs this week there are even more places to jump into a series and this title is a bit more fleshed out than the #1s.
- Doctor Strange #12
by Mark Waid and Barry Kitson.
Doctor Strange and Galactus… this looks pretty bad when Stephan has had trouble with his magic lately.
