DC Universe New Weekly Releases September 24, 2019
DC Comics started to release new comics to their DC Universe platform about a year after they enter circulation as floppies. With that in mind, I decided to list off those released each week as I do for Marvel Unlimited. The DC releases come out on Monday just like the Marvel comics but since they are pushed to their site in the evening I figured I’d publish their list on Tuesday…
Here’s the new stuff I’ve found this week that was released September 19th, 2018:

Top Comics This Week
11 new comics released today compared to 14 last week. Looking at Comic Book Roundup which aggregates a bunch of review sites, here are the top issues from this batch of comics. No issues reached the level of my criteria this week (rating 8.5 or over with more than 3 reviews). DC has to step things up – there was one issue that met these qualifications last week and this week there are none. Interestingly, there are a couple of DC comics released back in September that ranked highly (Mister Miracle #11 and Pearl #2) but they’re not being released to DC Universe this week. So with that in mind, I’ll list the 2 highest rated comics released this week even though they don’t hit my criteria…
- Injustice Vs. Masters of the Universe #3
by Tim Seeley and Freddie Williams II.
Hmm…I’n way outta touch with this series but it looks like Batman and He-Man are fighting against Superman. - Justice League #8
by James Tynion IV and Mikel Janin.
The Legion of Doom story continues as Lex works on recruiting Cheetah and Black Manta for his team.
Jumping on Points
DC seems to be set with number ones these days but there are plenty of places to jump into a series and these titles are a bit more fleshed out than the #1s.
- Harley Quinn #50
by Sam Humphries, John Timms, Dan Jurgens, and a whole lot more.
This is a strange issue, but it’s an anniversary tale in which Harley actually reads the issue…huh? It looks pretty cool. - Justice League #8
by James Tynion IV and Mikel Janin.
This is kinda a starting point in that it ties directly into the Drowned Earth event.
Concluding Issues
Some stories have been told and transform into something new. There was 1 series that completed a story arc this week.
- Aquaman #40The concluding chapter of the Sink Atlantis arc featuring Aquaman and the Suicide Squad.
