Marvel Unlimited New Weekly Releases September 23, 2019
Marvel releases comics to the Unlimited platform about 6 months after they come out in floppy format so this week we are seeing comics from March 20, 2019. In an effort to try to read some more “modern” issues, I’ve been tracking what’s currently being released and trying to catch up from recent number ones…we’ll see how that goes.
Here’s the new stuff I’ve found this week that were released in March 2019:

Top Releases of the Week
20 new comics released today (last week had 23). Anyway, looking at Comic Book Roundup which aggregates a bunch of review sites, here are the top issues from this batch of comics. This week I load up on 5 issues that look interesting.
- Immortal Hulk #15
by Al Ewing and Joe Bennett. - Meet the Skrulls #2
by Robbie Thompson and Niko Henrichon. - Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #4
by Tom Taylor and Juan Cabal. - Avengers: No Road Home #6
by Al Ewing, Jim Zub, Mark Waid, and Sean Izaakse. - Miles Morales: Spider-Man #4
by Saladin Ahmed and Javi Garron.
Number Ones
There are 2 NUMBER ONEs this week so there’s plenty of places to start out a new series.
- Spider-Man: City at War #1
by Dennis Hopeless and Michele Bandini.
This is the first in a six part story based on the PS4 Spider-Man game. I’ve played a bit of the game and it’s pretty fun so I expect this to be a fun comic. - Spider-Man: Life Story #1
by Chip Zdarsky and Mark Bagley.
Thsi limited series takes a look at Spider-Man throughout the decades with this first issue dealing with a Spider-Man’s response to Flash being drafted into the Vietnam War. There’s certainly potential for some good stories in this series.
Jumping on Points
While there are 2 NUMBER ONEs this week there are even more places to jump into a series and these titles are a bit more fleshed out than the #1s.
- Uncanny X-Men #14
by Matthew Rosenberg and Salvador Larroca.
Wolverine and Cyclops got their team back together and now they’re working on a plan to make the X-Men great again.
Concluding Issues
Some story’s have been told and transform into something new.
- Immortal Hulk #15
by Al Ewing and Joe Bennett.
This issue finishes off the Hulk in Hell volume and like all the issues of this series, I;m looking forward to reading it. - Thor #11
by Jason Aaron and Lee Garbett
This issue finishes off the Road to The War of the Realms volume and wow – I didn’t know Thor had a dog! - Venom #12
by Donny Cartes and Iban Coello.
Finishing off The Abyss volume, I’m wondering if Eddie and Venom are ever gonna work things out and start playing nice together again. - Avengers #17
by Jason Aaron and David Marquez.
The War of the Vampires comes to a close with this issue. What will be Dracula’s fate and how will the chips fall with Ghost Rider and Blade?
