Marvel Unlimited New Weekly Releases September 2, 2019
Marvel releases comics to the Unlimited platform about 6 months after they come out in floppy format so this week we are seeing comics from February 27, 2019. In an effort to try to read some more “modern” issues, I’ve been tracking what’s currently being released and trying to catch up from recent number ones…we’ll see how that goes.
Here’s the new stuff I’ve found this week that were released in February 2019:

Top Releases of the Week
17 new comics released today (last week had 20). Anyway, looking at Comic Book Roundup which aggregates a bunch of review sites, here are the top issues from this batch of comics. This week I load up on 4 issues and they all look like fun.
- Black Panther vs. Deadpool #5
by Daniel Kibblesmith and Ricardo Lopez Ortiz.
Supposedly someone dies in this. I’m not sure about that but it looks like fun wherever it goes. - Daredevil #2
by Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto.
Know Fear, Part 2 continues the storyline where Daredevil has been framed for murder and Murdock is working overtime to clear his name. - Invaders #2
by Chip Zdarsky, Carlos Magno, and Butch Gore.
In War Ghosts, Part II Captain America, Bucky, and the original Human Torch take different paths trying to figure out what’s up with Namor who seems to be causing conflict between Atlantis and the surface world. - West Coast Avengers #8
by Kelly Thompson and Gang Hyuk Lim.
I’ve love every issue of this title and though it appears the series was cut short at 10 issues, I’m on board for the whole ride.
Number Ones
There are 2 NUMBER ONEs this week so there’s plenty of places to start out a new series.
- Age of X-Man: X-Tremists #1
by Leah Williams and Georges Jeanty.
Psylocke, Iceman, Northstar, Blob, Jubilee, and Moneta join forces in the X-Man’s world but can they be “good guys” when they’re the secret police of Department X? - Captain Marvel: Braver & Mightier #1
by Jody Houser and Simone Buonfantino.
This is a one shot that gave a good idea of what Captain Marvel was all about just as the movie was getting ready for the big screen.
Jumping on Points
While there are 2 NUMBER ONEs this week there are even more places to jump into a series and these titles are a bit more fleshed out than the #1s.
- Marvel Comics Presents #2
by a whole bunch of people.
This is an interesting issue in that it continues the Wolverine story that started in Marvel Comics Presents #1 but then also includes a couple of stand alone stories with Gorilla-Man, Reed Richards, andVictor Von Doom. I’m including it here in the jumping on points because of the 2 stand alone stories but the Wolverine story is interesting as well.
Concluding Issues
Some story’s have been told and transform into something new.
- Black Panther vs. Deadpool #5
by Daniel Kibblesmith and Ricardo Lopez Ortiz.
Somehow I guess I missed the first few issues of this comic and now we have the conclusion. How can this not be fun when you’ve got Deadpool trying to get his hands on some Vibranium.
