Marvel Unlimited New Weekly Releases August 26, 2019
Marvel releases comics to the Unlimited platform about 6 months after they come out in floppy format so this week we are seeing comics from February 20, 2019. In an effort to try to read some more “modern” issues, I’ve been tracking what’s currently being released and trying to catch up from recent number ones…we’ll see how that goes.
Here’s the new stuff I’ve found this week that were released in February 2019:

Top Releases of the Week
22 new comics released today (last week had 20). Anyway, looking at Comic Book Roundup which aggregates a bunch of review sites, here are the top issues from this batch of comics. This week I only load up on 3 issues because I’m gonna implement me refinement system similar to what I do for DC. In order to make my top list, the issue has to rate a 8.5 or higher with at least 3 reviews. This’ll help me catch up on my backlog a bit…we’ll see if it helps.
- The Unstoppable Wasp #5
- Venom #11
- Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #3
Number Ones
There are 4 NUMBER ONEs this week so there’s plenty of places to start out a new series.
- Wolverine: Infinity Watch #1
Gerry Duggan and Andy MacDonald.
Wolverine is back here too and this time he’s going cosmic with Loki of all people…sounds interesting. - Hulkverines #1
by Greg Pak and Arlo Anindito.
Wolverine and Hulk against Weapon H…what could go wrong? - Love Romances #1by a bunch of people.
This issue harkens back to the romance stories of yesteryear and I find it interesting that we’re reading a few of these in my Marvel Essentials reading from the early 70s. - Age of X-Man: The Amazing Nightcrawler #1
by Sean McGuire and Juan Frigeri.
Nightcrawler is not just an X-Man in this series but he’s also one of the biggest box office draws in Hollywood…it sounds pretty cool.
Concluding Issues
Some story’s have been told and transform into something new.
- The Unstoppable Wasp #5
by Jeremy Whitley and Gurihiru.
This issue closes out the Fix Everything storyline with Nadia and her team coming together to support each other in critical ways. - Doctor Strange #11
by Mark Waid and Jesus Saiz.
This is the final issue in the Remittance story arc and Strange is facing off against the ‘man’ who controls all magic on Earth. - Shari #5
by Nnedi Okorafor and Leonardo Romero.
An alien creature has landed in Wakanda and it has it’s eyes set on the entire continent of Arfrica as Iron Man joins Shuri in the conclusion to the Search for Black Panther story arc. - Return of Wolverine #5
by Charles Soule and Steve McNiven.
The world was without Logan for a while but now he’s back. This didn’t get the best ratings but I find it hard to believe Soule and McNiven wouldn’t put out something quality.
