Blaugust2019 the Third
Two days down and 29 to go and the number of posts in my feed reader is crazy. I love it!
Just a bit of record keeping…
Wakfu
Wakfu is an MMO I’m gonna be trying out in August because of the MMO Book Club. The vote was held last week and somehow this odd, obscure at least from my point of view MMO won for the month.
It looks like an anime game but from the description it’s some kind of tactical, turn based MMO which sounds interesting. There are 18 classes and while you don’t have much in the way of character creation they seem pretty distinct in appearance.
Apparently some kind of Ogre caused a cataclysm on the World of Twelve and you’re part of the solution to fix things. You can be a fighter, a merchant, or a craftsman, and they even mention politician but I’m not sure how that fits in to an MMO and apparently you can become the Governor of one of the four nations.
The ecosystem supposedly is alive and if you take too many resources it can have repercussions down the road. I guess if you chop down a tree you should really plant a new one.
There are plenty of pets and mounts and you can even get sidekicks that help out in fights. And from what I can tell there are somewhere around 200 levels.
In any case, I downloaded the game this morning and am gonna give it a try. We’ll see how it goes.
What a Great Idea
As I was reading through my feed reader I came across a great idea posted by Beau Hindman over at Epicdolls.com and I had to say, I’m gonna try this out. The idea is printout out your blog posts or at least make PDFs of them. Go give the post a read. The bottom line is that Beau gives some good suggestions as to how you can save your ramblings long term and I think he’s got some great ideas.
It’s a Wrap
So, tomorrow I’m gonna try out Wakfu to see how things are in this interesting game and tonight I’m gonna take a bit of a look at some of Beau’s suggestions to see if I can get some of the steps accomplished or maybe figure out how I can do things even cheaper.
