Like Jonny Quest and Venture Brothers, Cave Carson is a Fun Read

Cave Carson Has A Cybernetic Eye #1 Part One: Going Under-Ground by Gerard Way, Jon Rivera, and Michael Avon Oeming. Published by DC Comics, 2016.

This is a pretty cool title with a leading character that I’ve never heard of before. Calvin ‘Cave’ Carson follows in the footsteps of Dr. Quest from Jonny Quest and that makes this a pretty fun read.

Cave is the leader of the Mole Team, a group of adventurers who dove into the depths of the Earth to find out it’s secrets. The team is no longer functional, though, as the matriarch, Eileen Carson, succumbed to a strange illness that left Cave and their daughter, Chloe, trying to pick up the pieces of their lives.

It’s been some time since she passed away but now Carson’s cybernetic eye is starting to have hallucinations of his dead wife. Things get even more intriguing when a Muldroogan shows up in Cave’s lab warning him about the company he’s working with, EBX.

Though I’m unfamiliar with the characters this was a fun Read and I’m looking forward to continuing the title.
