A Tiger on the Throne?
Tiger Won the Masters, Can He Take the Iron Throne?
We’ve got Wolves, Dragons, Lions, a Stag – why not a Tiger? There’s even a fish and a squid in the battle for the Iron Throne. In golf, in football, in March Mammal Madness, well maybe not baseball, but in many contests Tigers represent themselves as champions, but somehow not in Westeros.
The Game is On…
Yesterday’s premiere of season 8 of Game of Thrones was everything I expected except bloody. There were barely any deaths! We did get to see practically everyone left alive though and that was enjoyable. Two dragons, a few queens, a kingly revelation, a dwarf, and a bunch of eunuchs made the buildup for the Battle of Winterfell pretty cool and the new title sequence was incredible.
Are there pathways underground throughout Westeros? The titles seem to imply that to me, but I’m pretty sure we haven’t seen them in the show.
I’m sure everyone watched the episode and for me, my main question is if Cersei is gonna go against character and support the living or is she going to betray them before or after the White Walkers show up for the big battle. I don’t really see her having much to keep her in the game and I think she’s fine with burning everything to the ground.
But while some want to burn things down, others hope to rise back up…
Tiger Tiger, Burning Bright
It was 14 years in the making but Tiger Woods finally picked up Green Jacket #5. He’s gone from the top of the world to the depths of disgrace, from million dollar endorsements to having his wife chasing him with his golf club. Through the years he’s gotten older and injury prone and even spent time laid up with back problems but he persevered.
And now he’s back on top.
Sure, he might not be the feared king Tiger he was but he’s shown he still deserves a place at the table when considering the greatest golfers ever.
It’s a Wrap
With the Bengal Tiger taking the 2019 March Mammal Madness (as I have yet to describe and need to post about), the Clemson Tigers dominating the NCAA football championship, and Tiger Woods pulling off a victory in the Masters, perhaps the Iron Throne should go to the family represented by the Tiger.
Is there a Tiger sigil in Game of Thrones? Why not?
