2019MMM Tag Team Round 1 Results
After picking a perfect bracket in the battles yesterday I was pretty hyped to see how things would play out today and if it wasn’t for the Aardvark team I would have had another perfect day. Oh well it was a fun night of contests.
The Batfly offered itself up as a meal to the Oxpecker and gave the victory to the Zebra & Oxpecker team.
The Moray Eel nearly loses the battle by rubbing up against the Fire Coral and catching a burn from his competitor but as he jerked away a wandering parrotfish gobbled up the Coral leaving the Eel to be ministered to by the Wrasse as they basked in victory.
In the battle of the Mongoose/Warthog vs. the Beetle/ Mites, both mammals got a tasty treat as the Warthog feasted on the Beetle and the Mites were consumed by the Mongoose.
In the #7 vs #10 battle we see 3 birds and one mammal – the Capybara. The Drongo and Weaver actually aren’t afraid of the rodent/bird tag team but they spot an Anaconda which could cause trouble for all competitors. Fortunately the Capybara is large enough not to be frightened off by the juvenile snake while the birds fly away to safety leaving the Rodent to claim victory.
Heading to the water and normally in the shallow tropics, the Clown Fish and Anemone work together well but the Turtle/Crab duo knock the pair into the depths of the Sargasso Sea which results in an easy win by the shelled animals.
In the #8 vs #9 battle, I really figured the triple monkey attack would easily take out an Aardvark and it’s cucumber, but that was not to be. The Aardvark was to much for the the small monkeys to handle and the cucumber just kinda sat there.
But the plants didn’t all win in these last fights as the monkey pair of #6 Diana Monkey and Red Colobus Monkey took dowm the Bornean Bat and his Pitcher Plant buddy.
Finally in the battle of the team I think very well might win the whole tournament, the Coyote and Badger team faced off against a couple of insects – the Ants and Aphids. The battle was an easy one for the mammals and I have a feeling this team is gonna roll over the competition for a while.
On the whole it was a good night of battles and I think the right teams won most of the matches. As it was, I did pretty well as you can see…
