Quick Look At the Cat-e-Gory Bracket of 2019MMM
The ‘Cats’ in the CAT-e-Gory bracket of the 2019 March Mammal Madness aren’t really cats at all…well, a few are pretty close but even the second seed Nimravid is only an extinct sabre-toothed cat. I kinda think he’ll do well in this category especially considering he’s starting off against the Dandelion and should handle that easily unless he gets hay fever.
The number 1 seed is the Sea Lion and if I recall correctly, a sea lion or a near relative went pretty far a few years ago. These guys can be pretty fierce and even though they thrive in the water, they do pretty well on land as well since they’ve got a decent mass that can squash smaller opponents, large teeth to slash at the competition, and lots of blubber to proved some decent defense.
I think the 5th seeded Tiger Owl may go far since his opponents seem to be the bite sized Panther Chameleon and the either the small Fisher Cat or the Tiger Salamander but then I worry that as a bird he may just decide to leave the arena if he gets bored.
Finally I like the Lion-Tailed Macaque against the Cat Snake in the first round but think the best fight of the bracket may come when he faces the 3rd ranked Bearcat…I can see that fight getting pretty nasty. But while I kinda have a feeling the Bearcat may win the bracket, I’m pulling for the bird or Macaque.
