Was that Cy Young?

The Angels didn’t have much of a chance on Saturday as Corey Kluber dominated from the mound and he showed how he won the Cy Young Award twice.

They did pick up a few hits…Simmons and Pujols picked up singles and Eric Young Jr. nabbed a double but that’s all the Angels were able to put together against some very impressive pitching.

For their own showing, Felix Peña pitched fairly well but nowhere near as good as Kluber. Pena gave up 2 runs on 3 hits over 5 1/3 innings. He kept the Angels in the game as long as he could but was clearly outmatched. Regardless, I suppose he gets my Player of the Game for keeping the score within reach.

Mike Trout sat on the bench again with his wrist problem and I certainly hope that’s over soon as the team really needs him out there.
