#BlaugustReborn Day 3

Daily Ramble 6: #BlaugustReborn Day 3

Today is another day of catching up as I had a very busy day yesterday and then spent a good chunk of time finishing off my initial watch of the Avengers: Infinity War. First off, I tried to assess where my main character was at in Warcraft. It’s been so long since I put her on the shelf that I’m a bit at a loss to know what she should be doing and what her abilities are these days. Of course, then Blizzard changes thing with the pre-expansion update.
Keeping up with #BlaugustReborn has been crazy so far too. There are a ton of bloggers that have joined up and I’m enjoying reading through all their content but then it is taking some time. It’s a good thing to have an overflowing feed reader for a change. And with so many posts to read through I did find one that piqued my interest for a Six Degrees Segment about reading.

MMO Book Club heads to Azeroth

With the voting concluded a few days ago, it was decided that the MMO Book Club will be playing World of Warcraft in August and I’ll be heading there with them. While I’ve got a 100+ level main on Bloodhoof I think I’m gonna start up a new character to join in with the club festivities and also to get the full experience of the new expansion. The weird thing is, I know practically nothing about this latest expansion except I think there are some new races, the level cap has been increased again, and I’m gonna have to redo all my skills. I suppose that’s another reason to start a new character since I’m so unfamiliar with the skills I feel I would be totally lost jumping on a 100 level character.

This is practically a new game for me since I haven’t seriously played since Mists of Panderia so it should be fun to reimmerse myself in the lore and learn about all the old and new stuff Blizzard has thrown into the game in the past couple of years.

We’ll see how things go.

Kindles and iPads and iPhones oh my!

Ava over at [TechJoy2Day](http://techjoy2day.blogspot.com) wrote yesterday about her [love for her Kindle](http://techjoy2day.blogspot.com/2018/08/love-my-kindle.html) and I have to say I can fully understand. My reading numbers jumped through the roof once I got my first Kindle and they’ve never come back. My reading mode continued to evolve though. From Kindle to iPad to iPhone and the Audible app, most of my reading these days is of the audio kind. During most months I’ll get through 5+ books but July, with Comic-Con, saw me tackle fewer which I’ll discuss in another post. Needless to say it’s nice to see another avid reader show up in my blog feeds.

Finally saw Infinity War

I have to say I really enjoyed that movie and it was better than I was expecting. Somehow, while I knew the general idea of the story from reading the comics, I managed to avoid spoilers for all these months but I was really impressed. How they managed to incorporate so many characters/stars into the story was so cool. I only miss some of the characters like Silver Surfer who weren’t in the movie but were in the comics.

Some day I’ll take a closer look at the movie but I don’t want to lay down spoilers since it just came out on video. I figure, give it some time and all those like me who like the ease of watching the movie across multiple days and being able to pause for bathroom breaks will have had a chance to see the show.

Based on my initial viewing, I would definitely recommend the movie to anyone. It is a bit darker than a bunch of the other Marvel stuff but it seems organic in the ways it’s heavier themes are portrayed. Somehow while DC keeps struggling to figure out how to make a movie that is liked by fans these past few years, Marvel seems to have figured out the right formula.

And I will say something…I am totally excited to see what happens in the next film.
