Marvel Unlimited New Weekly Releases July 9, 2018
Marvel releases comics to the Unlimited platform about 6 months after they come out in floppy format so this week we are seeing comics from January 3, 2018. In an effort to try to read some more “modern” issues, I’ve been tracking what’s currently being released and trying to catch up from recent number ones…we’ll see how that goes.

Out of these 14, I’ve been reading X-Men: Gold, Hawkeye, Astonishing X-Men, and Star Wars and I think my favorite so far has been Hawkeye. Kelly Thompson’s take on the Kate Bishop version of the hero is pretty cool and I love the pencils and perspective provided by Leonardo Romero – they really make this a great looking book as well. Star Wars is also fun but I haven’t read any of the Kieron Gillen issues yet though I enjoyed his Uncanny X-Men and see that he’s up for an Eisner this year for his The Wicked + The Divine so he’s obviously a good writer.
