Breaking the Streak

Not only did the Angels break their losing streak, they also stopped Seattle’s 8 game win streak. And it felt good!

Pitching and Hitting Win Games

Garrett only managed to pitch 5 1/3 innings but he held the Seattle offense to 3 runs and only 2 of those were earned. The Angels pitching staff also had a good game as the struck out 15 Mariners so on the whole, it was a good game for them.

On the offensive side of things, Kole Calhoun had one of his best days of hpthe season. He went 3 for 5 batting leadoff and he drove in 3 runs and.scored twice. He’s my Player of the Game and I surely hope to find him doing things like this many more times this year.

The offensive and defensive performances coupled with the pitching are what the Angels are gonna need if they’re gonna get back into the AL West race.

Toda, Jaime a Barria faces off against Marco Gonzales in the series finale. Hopefully the Angels can pull off a series victory as they head outta town.
