#2018MMM Wild Card Wild Match

Congratulations to the Wild Praying Mantis who took down the Gold Crest in the first battle of the 2018 March Mammal Madness.

You may be wondering how a bird and an insect fought in the first contest…well, this year there’s a whole division of the tournament that features non milk drinking animals. Insects, Birds, Fish, and others (?) are included in the the When the Kat’s Away division and I have to say, I really though the bird would win.

So here we are, the first match of the tournament is in the books and I feel like my whole bracket is done. Sure, I had the Gold Crest losing to the Orinoco Crocodile in the first round, but I am now a point behind in the race to win the tournament. Too bad. I suppose looking on the bright side of things, I’ll be able to watch the Crocodile eat the Mantis next week.
