First Look at Letter 44 #5

I take my first look at Letter 44 #5 and as the cover of this issue (where we see FBI agents surveilling a replica of the White House) indicates, there’s some interesting stuff going on. We find out who the “him” is that Special Agent Cornish was talking about in issue 4 and we see that not only did they find him, but in this issue, they want to bring him in for questioning. We also see more of the asteroid the Bowman crew went to investigate. Unfortunately, in his scientific zeal, Dr. Pritchard inadvertently destroys one of the alien fractals when he tries to examine it.

Finally, we see President Blades sending Michter on an “around-the-world” tour to get him outta the way, but in the end, things don’t seem to be going well for either of the other storylines.

Overall

Once again, this is a fast paced and exciting issue, kinda like 24 mashed up with Amageddon and some weird Twilight Zone aliens. Interestingly though, we don’t see anything about what’s happening on the Clarke with the baby on her way.
