First Look: Avengers X-Sanction #2

This is just a first look at Avengers X-Sanction #2. I plan on putting together a review of the issue and rate it a bit down the road but I wanted to put together a few brief thoughts on my first experience with it.

As the Avengers continue their battle against the Lethal Legion that started in Avengers X-Sanction #1, Iron Man notices that Captain America and Falcon are missing so he leaves the fight in Red Hulk’s hands and flies after Redwing to see where they’ve gone. It turns out Cable’s captured them both. Apparently the Techno-Organic virus is killing him and he’s on a mission to save his daughter before he dies – for some reason he thinks the Avengers play a role in her death. As Iron Man finds the other Avengers, Cable dons a future version of the armor and the 2 iron men go at it. Will Cable capture Stark as well or will Red Hulk have something to say about it?

This second issue in Avengers X-Sanction does a good job of filling in some of the back story with Cable and his daughter, but I’m still not sold on the ‘destroy the Avengers to save Hope’ premise. But learning more about the history of Cable is pretty cool. Two more issues to go in this limited series.
