A Long Successful Weekend
Daily Ramble 15: A Long Weekend Success
Long weekends are great for the free time and the not having to work parts, but I often find that I want to get too much done. I usually have all kinds of plans and desires for accomplishing so many things in my games and I’m usually disappointed because I run outta time or focus on the wrong things. This weekend was different. I really didn’t plan much at all and so any and everything I did seemed like a success.
Top 3+ Things I did this Weekend
- Avoided playing League of Legends – I mentioned focusing on the wrong things and usually League is one of those wrong things. This time around, I stuck to my goal of putting this game in the review mirror – it’s burned me too many times and I’m done for now.
- Advanced my crafting skill in Albion to be able to craft Tier 4 Nature Staves – I actually used the short cut by getting to the learning point and applying LP. It still took a bunch of crafting Tier 3 staves, but I accomplished my goal.
- Ran a Tier 4 group expedition as a healer with a Tier 4 Nature Staff and we survived. It got kinda close a few times, but I’m figuring out how to use my heal-over-time spells to keep the tank up and heal people who step in the red zones and take damage. Gotta remember though to always prioritize the healing myself and the tank.
- Ran a bunch of smite matches and I’m getting ever closer to level 30 and ranked play.
Other cool things outside of gaming I did this weekend were watching 2001: A Space Odyssey and a bunch of James Bond movies with Mrs. Redshirt.
I guess the biggest thing I did not get done this weekend was any research on my fantasy football draft which is taking place tomorrow. As usual I don’t know anyone on any team so it’s going to be a long draft unless I let the software make all the picks for me.
On the whole, I’d say it was a good weekend and a success.
