First Expedition
Morning Ramble 400: Journeyman’s Expedition
This morning I got up the courage to try my hand a the first expedition in Albion. The Journeyman Expedition had a pretty low set of requirements for where I am now in the game, but I still was nervous – this is basically a single player dungeon.
The requirements were the Journeyman Reaver achievement and 250 Item Power – I was at 500 item power so I clearly was overpowered for the dungeon but it was my first time.
Also, I had achieved the level of Adept Reaver so I was more than qualified for the dungeon. Most likely, I could have run the Adept level Expedition but one wasn’t available in Steppe Outpost. I think I’ll have to move to a bigger city before I can run those.
In any case, I needed to stop the thieves from stealing a bunch of relics. This meant I needed to ‘kill’ a bunch of different mobs and an overseer ‘boss’ mob.
I decided to go into this with my Journeyman Nature Staff which does some good damage over time dps and has some good healing. This is the Hunter’s healing weapon and I think it’s kinda like a Druid’s healing. So far, this weapon seems pretty good for my current play style. I also brought my cloth hat and chest and the leather shoes – all tier 3. I feel this gives me a decent capability of inflicting damage and healing myself so I can survive fights.
The dungeon wasn’t too difficult and it had some cool settings. It also was pretty quick to get through. I was allowed over an hour to get through things and even with my cautious slow going, it took a bit over 25 minutes.
I got a bunch of Silver for my time and I’d have to say it was a decent return. A few more of these and I’ll easily be able to get my personal island once I move to my new city.
