Morning Ramble 398: Wrecked the Hunter

Albion – Journeyman Hunter

Today was the first day I examined the Destiny Board prior to starting my game session in Albion. Last play session I bumped up my Mage abilities to the point where I could use the tier 3 staffs and I wanted to get a few things accomplished again this time around as well. So I looked up what the requirements were for the other tier 3 weapons. While the Destiny Board is pretty straight forward, I really wish there was an easier method of figuring out what’s needed for the different skills and abilities – at least So far, I haven’t found an easy way of using the board.

My first goal was to finish unlocking the tool building skills for tier 3. The best way I figured to get these leveled was to craft a few of the tools and then study them. It’d didn’t take much but about 3–4 tools crafted and studied got me to unlock those crafting abilities.

I then wanted to level up my ability to use the new tools and since I figured I’d be hanging around the same low level areas I’d previously been farming, I’d also build up my hunter abilities. So I crafted a bow, and mercenary shoes, jacket, and hood, and killed animals and skinned them as I chopped trees, harvested cotton, and mined copper around the maps right next door to my starting city.

It didn’t take long and I had reached the level of Journeyman Hunter.

Since I’m still able to level up gathering skills in these areas, I think next time I’ll craft the Warrior items and level them up to Journeyman level as well that way, I’ll be well rounded at least up to tier 3.

Wrecked

If you haven’t seen this show on TBS, you should give it a try. I just did a mini binge, watching 3 episodes to catch up with the current season and I really love the humor in this show. The basic idea is that it’s a spoof on LOST. A bunch of people are in a plane crash and end up on an island in the middle of nowhere but instead just trying to survive, most of the people decide that this is their opportunity to start over. They start lying to each other about their professions and lives back in the real world and it’s really quite funny.

I think they’re on the second season and they’ve run into a band of pirates who are pretty incompetent. So much so that the castaways were able to steal their boat and sail off to the cruise ship they hijacked. Now, the survivors are trying to head back to the world on this cruise ship.

One thing I like about the show is how it’s a comedy where you don’t need to know when to laugh..there’s no laugh track to spoil the humor and it’s still very funny. I suppose if they gave it a laugh track that’d be the end of me watching, but as it stands now, it’s one of the few scripted comedy shows I watch.
