Day 2: Death Note is coming to Comic-Con and Netflix

About 10 years ago Adult Swim brought to American viewers a dark, brooding anime about a serial killer and the hunt to bring him to justice. That show, Death Note, was a huge hit along the lines of Cowboy Beebop and Full Metal Alchemist.

Later this year, Netflix is bringing a movie version of death note to the small screen and a panel to Comic-Con. Taking place and Hall H, I’m not sure I’ll make it to the panel (since the lines are always crazy for that room), but the movie looks like it can be pretty interesting.

Regardless of if I make it to the panel on Thursday, I plan of watching the movie when it comes out in August since I enjoyed both the anime series and the manga – so much, I’ve been promoting the manga as a pick for my graphic novel reading group.
