New Console
One of the fun gaming accessories I got this year for Christmas was an Xbox One. Actually, I got it for Mrs. Redshirt so we could play some of the many cooperative games where we can sit side-by-side on the couch. It seems to be a popular gaming style, but so many games bypass it and only provide online multiplayer, which is very annoying. As it is, I picked up Diablo III, Lego Super Heroes, the Borderlands collection, Minecraft, and Terraria. I think these should be a good sampling of the cooperative play available, and I hope new games continue to come out.
Actually, I got the Xbox for the 4K Blu-Ray capability. It seems the Xbox, with all the discounts offered this Christmas, was one of the cheapest 4K blu-ray players on the market.
My console playing has been all PS4 this generation after being mostly Xbox for the past few so I’m also happy to see many of the old games are supported for playing on the new system.
In any case, expect to see a few screen shots from the various games I’m trying out on my new console.
