A Captured Spy and the Leadup to a Promotion
The Rook
After reading through more letters that encompass the entire chapter 5, we find that Rook Thomas has considerable power in the UK. She can shut down the power grid and restrict media outlets and has quite a few people that respond to her orders. It’s made clear that she has handled things in the past that would shake the foundation of society and now things have started happening at the Rookery.
A spy was captured and and interrogation ensued. Apparently Myfanwy’s sensitive stomach usually regurgitates during these type of things, but this time, she takes control and in an uncharacteristic manner demands the men observing the questioning respect her authority. Unfortunately, the subject has problems staying alive but not before he shrieks out something I’m sure we’ll find out about in upcoming chapters.
I think the previous Myfanwy, though powerful, was afraid to use her abilities. It seems she cowed infront of peers and even deferred to subordinates. That’s not the case with the new and improved – though amnesiac – Rook. I think the manner in which the author introduces the meekness of the previous Myfanwy works for the story but it’ll be interesting to see how O’Malley portrays the ongoing interactions with people who are more accustomed to dealing with someone less bold.

After that first win yesterday, I was able to string a few of them together.
They weren’t my best games but I’ve decided this season that I would diversify a bit. My Nami isn’t bad but I could use some practice. Actually, I’ve been working to integrate Nami and Janna into my support champ stable. With Zyra and Morgana, that gives me 4 solid supports, I just need to figure out a decent tanky support that I can bring to the table to round everything out. I will say though, the Redemption item is pretty powerful. Riot has really made healing and shielding able to provide extra features with all these new items added over the last season or so.
Current Season 7 Record: 12 wins 6 losses – still in Bronze IV.
