Enlisting the Aid of the Archdruid of the Claw
Last time in Warcraft, I was working on the questline that would bring the assistance of Elothir, the Archdruid of Lore, to the aid of Malfurion in our attempts to rescue Cenarius. After wiping out the harpies in his forest, I killed the Witchmother and freed the druids she held captive, freeing up Elothir to help remove the curse that was placed on Cenarius.
But we needed more help.
My next stop was at Steeleclaw Vale where I met up with Rylissa Bearsong to work on getting the Archdruid of the Claw to help us out.
She indicated that the Furbolgs in the area have cut off access to the barrow dens and we need to teach them a lesson before we could reach Koda Steelclaw.
On the way to take out evil furbolgs, I ran into Elder Sookh in the Smolderhide Thicket where I learn that the Chieftain of the furbolg is the one causing all the trouble.
He kidnapped Littlefur and if I rescued him, there may be a way to get to the barrow dens without having to wipe out all the furbolgs.
I did have to take on SOME of them to get to Littlefur to gain his freedom, though.
Taking on 3 at a time was not easy and the Chanter kept healing the Warriors so I had to back out a couple times. But I eventually got through them to meet up with Littlefur. He told me the key to the Chieftain’s power lay in the Nightmare Totem and if I destroyed that, the Furbolg would stop bothering the druids. So I found and defeated Chieftain Graw, destroying the totem.
With the Furbolgs friendly again, I went to awaken Archdruid Steeleclaw and hoped he could help save Cenarius.
He looks much more impressive awake.
I’ve got to wake some more druid up…What’s with everyone sleeping in this forest anyway?
But once I wake everyone up and kill a bunch of demons infesting the barrow, I am asked to kill Morphael.
He looked like a pretty nasty dude…
But I had some friends with me who helped take him down.
Once he was destroyed I headed back to the surface and Steeleclaw agreed to come with me to help Malfurion save Cenarius.
Busy day, but I still had to find the Archdruid of the Vale.
