Leveling a New Summoner

I’ve been playing around with leveling up a new summoner to see what the new player experience is like at this point.  I’ve made it up to level 18 and I’d have to say that it certainly seems to take a long time to gain levels.  It really feels like a grind.  This game, though, I had a good time. I played as support with Lux and I did pretty well.  Sure, it’s against people leveling up as well, but we were all handicapped by minimal masteries and runes. Actually I was the lowest level at 18 of anyone in the game so I had fewer masteries than anyone. 

The cool part of this game, other than the fact we won, was that I got my first quadra kill as Lux.  The enemy team was going for a Baron late in the game and I threw an E into the pit followed by my ult and another E.  next thing I knew I was being announced as having gotten a quadra kill.  Sure, it wasn’t a penta, but as a Support player, I usually don’t get more than 2 or 3 kills in a group.  

I suppose I may have gotten a quadra kill before as Lux, but at least this is the first time I recall getting one as Lux.
