A Break From The Darkness

So many shows on TV today are dark and gritty. You never know if your favorite character is gonna get his head chopped off or bashed in with a bat, our even fed to a bunch of dogs. Is the doom and gloom a figment of a paranoid delusuion or are there robots and aliens really everywhere in the world? Oh, and to turn on the news to see the nightmare choices in a real world election I feel like just turning off and turning out of everything…Or should I just turn on something fun like this…

I really love this show! It’s so refreshing to have a fun, inconsequential, and entertaining diversion to watch amid all the depressing and distressing television on the 500 channels we all have.

I’ll keep watching the dark shows, but when I need a pick-me-up, I’ll turn on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend to recharge my batteries and make me feel good.

BTW, I still haven’t watched another episode of TWD since the season premire – I’m still too exhausted from that show and haven’t been motivated to subject myself to it again yet. At least with Ned Stark it was at the end of the season.
