Football and Baseball What a Time of Year

So week 8 came and went in my fantasy football league and it was pretty much a crappy week.  I had 5 players on my bench that had a BYE week.  That left me with 2 guys that I could have played…they scored a total of 1 point between them – not too good, but that’s why they were on the bench right?

My players that started for me didn’t do so not either.  They were led by Ty Montgomery who had some kind of sickle-cell trait and sat on his own bench this week.  Zero points from a running back was pretty harsh particularly considering he was good to go until game day – really crap call by Green Bay.  But then I don’t know if it would have made a difference. 

Even his 17 or 18 points that he got the past few weeks would have left me behind this week.  Oh well.  4-4 isn’t bad but with only 4-5 more weeks or regular season, I may miss the playoffs this year.

World Series Headed to Game 7

I’m pretty excited to see the Cubs and Indians head to game 7 though I worry for the Cubs.  Kluber is a beast and has been untouchable in the playoffs. 

With an ‘anything goes’ mentality for the last game of the season, I expect things could get interesting with nerves, pressures, and people trying too hard.  I’m still pulling for the Cubs but I would love an exciting game more than that…there’s always next year for the Cubs…or Indians.
