Rainy Ovation
Rain
We actually got rain today in San Diego. It’s a pretty rare occurrence, particularly in October, but it was a nice change. The little misting destroyed the car wash I gave my car this weekend and of course caused all kinds of traffic. Late to work, late getting home…not much fun when no one in town drives well when the streets are wet.
Ovation
The Ovation Channel needs to stop being snobbish. They are one of the few channels we get on Time Warner Cable – which is horrible by the way- that refuses to indicate Pacific Time on their listings. Because of their East Coast elitism, we’ve recorded a bunch of crap when we were trying to get their new show Versailles. Apparently, they’ve already shown 4 episodes but because they say the show is on at 12pm and we record the station at 12pm, we get something completely different from the show we want. Now we have the luxury of trying to record whatever is on 3 hours earlier so that the real Versailles which is on at 9am Pacific Time gets on our TiVo. Fortunately, we can record the 3 hour airing of A River Runs Through It at 9am to get episodes 1, 2, and 3. If this doesn’t work, I have a feeling this will be a show we pass on.
