A Green Mushroom – S1E27 – No Man’s Sky – “You Can’t Take The Sky From Me”

Void from A Green Mushroom promotes his podcast – Geek to Geek – in this post and I’d recommend it as a good gaming podcast as well. In the episode discussed, the focus is a game that quite a few people are talking about – No Man’s Sky.

Void and his cohost Beeg talk about their initial experiences in No Man’s Sky. What they liked, what they didn’t like, and things they’d change in a patch – like being able to name your ship. It’s really a good discussion about the survival and resource gathering space game and I like the perspective provided.

The post is basically the talking points of the podcast so if you read through them, you’ll know if you want to listen to the show – I did, and was not disappointed. I think the discussion about PC vs PS4 is particularly interesting as I have yet to buy the game and am asking this same question. Funny thing is…my PS4 is in my office with my computer so I only have the ‘possibility’ of couch play rather than the reality of it (one of these days I’ll hook up to my living room TV).

After No Man’s Sky, they talk about the new adventure in Hearthstone – I didn’t know there were adventures in Hearthstone – One Night in Karazhan and the iOS game Reigns. From the sound of it, I need to get back into Hearthstone and give these single player adventures a try since they seem interesting. Reigns, too, is interesting. I downloaded it last week at the recommendation of a different podcast and its pretty cool – it might fulfil the Game of Thrones itch for a while before the season comes back.

The post and the podcast were both informative and enlightening – I added the podcast to my regular downloads and look forward to hearing more of what they have to geek out about.
