League of Crashes, Again
So this morning patch 6.15 was released for League of Legends and it didn’t really seem like there’s much involved in the patch. No major changes seem to be in place except for some slight changes to outer lane turrets that will change the dynamics of lane swapping, but other than that all the changes seem to be tweaks rather then major changes.
What confused me though was this patch took about on hour to download and install. I was pretty surprised it took so long when it looked like they only changed a few numbers here and there. Perhaps this new champion – Kled – that they’re introducing has a large download or something. In any case this is the second patch in a row where once downloaded I cannot play the game. This is becoming a really annoying pattern. I don’t like downloading an update only to have the game start crashing. In all reality I don’t even get the loading screen once I’ve downloaded the patch. Instead I keep being told that my computer is unable to connect to the riot servers. How can a patch blowup the game every time I try and run it for the last two patches? I guess it’s back to the troubleshooting board. Maybe I should load up the play test client now that I can give them feedback about how crappy their patching processes is when it breaks my system every time they released a new build. In any case, I ‘lost’ or rather was branded a ‘LEAVER’ for not even getting the client to start up. I hate losing precious LP when I’ve done nothing to deserve it.
I thought I’d have more to say today, and I do, but time constraints are blocking my rambling for now…oh well, it give me more to say in the future. But for now.
