Taking a look at Thursday’s Schedule
The Comic-Con schedule for Thursday was released a couple days ago and it looks like a pretty good day for television and game panels. It also looks like there’s not much I’m interested in seeing in the bigger rooms.
Ballroom 20 has a a couple of panels that might be interesting but are not on the top of my list right now…CBS Television at 12 which will have the new MacGuyver which could be cool and later at 5:45 the Luke Cage panel is there. I’m not invested in either show, but they could be a nice fallback. And Hall H only has Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets at 1pm which sounds interesting but I’ve not heard of it before.
The rooms I’m more interested in are 6A and 6BCF. 6A has a nice block of panels from 1:45 to 5:15 which includes USA’s new Falling Water, TNT’s The Last Ship, and Amazon’s The Man In The High Castle. I enjoy the last two shows and the first looks pretty interesting from the description. There’s also a panel for Blizzard’s Overwatch and a new hero that’s gonna be introduced later at 6:45. I could definitely see myself spending some time in 6A.
Ballroom 6BCF, though, looks pretty good. Starting at 1 to 4:45, a nice block of video game panels are on order…Call of Duty:Infinite Warfare, Gears of War 4, and Warcraft: The Road to Legion are a pretty solid set that I could see myself enjoying. Over the years, I’ve only seen aa few gaming panels at Comic-Con, but they’ve been pretty good – actors tend to think quite a bit of themselves while game developers tend to be more down to earth. After those panels, USA has Colony at 4:45 and then the panel I really want to see on Thursday – Mr. Robot at 6pm.
Beyond these panels, Voltron is gonna be in 7AB at 3pm followed by VIZ Media – the manga people – at 4, and then at 8:30 in 24ABC is a Robotech panel.
The day seems pretty focused with my interests mainly in 6A and 6BCF which could be good for seeing most of what I want and I feel pretty lucky in this since it means I start the con off on a positive note.
