Pokémon GO…if the Servers are Up
The big news this week, other than the Comic-Con schedule, was the release of Pokémon GO and the server issues they’ve been experiencing.
I was able to download, without any issues, on Wednesday and actually managed to log in during the evening. Trainer creation was straightforward and I caught my first Pokémon…a Squirtle.
He’s now one of many…
As you can see, I’ve caught a Squirtle, a Paras, a Meowth, and an Eevee. Unfortunately, the Pikachu that you see in the middle there evaded me. Actually, I threw my pokéball and thought I caught him, instead of getting the success message and a listing in my Pokédex, I got a server busy message.
This seems to be the most common state of the game…I’ve certainly experienced it most of the times I’ve tried to log in but I did get in a few times over the past couple days and the game is promising. I’m sure over the next few weeks they’ll get the server issues resolved and the game will be worth playing, but for now, I’m gonna take it slow.
